New Book Bringing Old Atlantic City Memories to Life

"The Girl on the High-Diving Horse," written by Linda Oatman High and illustrated by Ted Lewin, is bringing to life the spun-candy and sea-spray world of the old Atlantic City boardwalk. Set in the 1930s, the book is receiving rave reviews from adults reveling in the nostalgia, as well as from children who wish they could have seen the popular boardwalk high-diving horse act. Beautifully illustrated by Lewin in the old "linen postcard" style, the book is awash in the pastels of the period. Linda Oatman High is available for presentations and writing workshops; her popular "Writing by the Light of the Moon" includes blacklights, glow-in-the-dark novelties, and lightup pens. Information may be found on www.lindaoatmanhigh.com. High and Lewin will be signing books at the Walden Books in Mays Landing, NJ on Tuesday, July 1st, 6:00-8:30 p.m.
